Few
countries have experienced the magnitude of growth in telecommunications
that India has and is projected to maintain over the next decade.
Areas without basic telephony now have mobile communication. Andeven
betterthey have the benefit of new technologies like CDMA:
the industry standard in third generation systems. However, training
is yet to gain due acceptance as a valued business proposition in
this engineer-intensive industry.
|
 |
Indeed,
a few have effected radical reforms in the area of training. But they
are not enough. Given the projected growth and the consequent requirement
of trained hands, India might be looking at a serious shortfall in
manpower. Indian firms, working with universities and colleges, could
build partnerships to bridge this imminent gap in demand and supply.
|
Mack,
in its association with the US-based telecom pioneer Qualcomm, has
addressed precisely this. While contributing to an area of need,
the two companies are strengthening their business relationship.
|
| With nearly 300 engineers and technicians, mack is one of Indias
top telecom engineering companies, and has worked on almost all
major networks built in the country since 1995. It has about 22
man-years (or 32,000 man-hours) of experience in handling CDMA-based
networks. |
| We
are well equipped with world class (as per Qualcomm standards) facilities:
air-conditioned lecture halls, tele-conference equipment, broad
band internet access, audio and video equipment (LCD projector,
vu-graph projector and microphone). Support areas like restrooms,
secure storage for students, and convenient access to food and refreshments
complete the congenial picture. |
| A
combination of lectures and group discussionsbacked by appropriate
text booksculminate in hands-on exercises. |
| Quality of instruction will be ensured through a proper identification
of experts from the training domain, student feedback and instructor
evaluation at the end of each class. CDMA University representatives
will conduct random audits of classes. |
| We
will assist candidates in placements. (CONDITIONS APPLY) |
